“Imagine a World In Which We Lived Where Everyone Loved Their Neighbour As They Love Themselves.”

This is the essay written by my 6th grade son (with my help of course) that I  said I would post. The topic is a marvelous one that we feel very strongly about and he couldn't wait to share.

"Imagine a world in which we lived where everyone loved their neighbour as they loved themselves."

“I woke up this morning with a bright smile on my face knowing that today was going to be a wonderful day! It makes you very happy to know that I have such loving neighbours. This morning, my next door neighbour gave me a ride to school. I wonder what else the day will bring!"

Wouldn't it be beautiful if everyone loved their neighbour as they loved themselves?
In the Bible, Christ teaches us, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." (Matthew 22:38) This is the way that God intended for the world to be from the beginning.

"God is love." 1 John 4:8. If we learn to truly love God, then we would truly start to love ourselves; which is the only way we can really love others. Loving ourselves and each other means that we respect and take care of one another, the way that God would like for us to.

Plenty of the problems we face today would not exist if we loved our neighbours as we loved ourselves. We would be almost Christ-like because we would be more honest, humble, thoughtful and kind with each other. Instead of the news being so sad most of the time, we would be excited to watch it to see all of the amazing things happening in our lovely Bahamaland.  Money would not rule the world. Love would rule instead. Even the animals would benefit! People would be more willing not only to give to others in need, outside of their own families, but also willing to teach others what they have learned. People expect for all family to love family but sadly, that is not always the case. If the world all loved their neighbour as they loved themselves, everyone would be like family! Schoolmates would love each other more and there would be no more bullying. People would love each other more and there would be no more hatred and crime. Nations would love each other more and there would be no more war. A perfect world!
God has created the earth perfectly already. If Adam and Eve were not tricked by Satan, the world we live in today would have been perfect too. I am thankful that our God, Jehovah, is a God of love and gave us all a second chance at life on His New Earth. This is why it is so important for us now to learn to love our neighbour as we love ourselves because no man knows the day nor the hour, not even Jesus himself. One day we might all wake up with that same smile on our faces knowing that love is the order of the day!

The End.

God Does Not Withhold.

I did a post on Wednesday with partly the same title, “God Is Not Punitive, But Karma’s Still a Bitch!” It was a pretty bold title but the purpose of that was to get your attention and to explain the dynamics of what we call, ‘karma’.  Today’s topic is somewhat along those same lines, only this time, it takes it to an even higher level and lets us know What and Who God really is  and what He wants for all of us. Please read on.

The word punitive means - “giving punishment”.  The Bible tells us, “God is love.” (John 4) God has promised us all everything that He has. God is Omni-present (all-present) which shows us that God is NOW; at this very present moment. God cannot and WILL NOT change. If He has not done something already yesterday or last year, He won’t possibly do it differently tomorrow or next year. This may sound as if I am putting limitations on God which it is impossible for anyone to do. What I am trying to say is that God is Infinite. Formless. Timeless. Boundless. If God has already set something into place, it will never change until it has fulfilled its purpose completely, perfectly.

Most think of God as this mighty being with large hands, a thunderous voice, sitting on a throne of gold and on top of an abundance of the finest luxuries. We think He’s just ‘dishing out’ to some who've been good, have said their prayers properly or had parents who were devout Christians that went to church on time. On the flip side, we think the He withholds all ‘the goodies’ from others because they must have been nodding off during sermons, stole chocolate from the store or had a baby at 19 and out of wedlock.

Both couldn't be further from the truth! When God said that, “Everything I have is yours.”, He meant just that - EVERYTHING! THE UNIVERSE! Although He was referring directly to Christ Jesus, we are included in that promise.  All that there is and ever will be to offer is already promised to us. All we now have to do is BELIEVE! The above scenarios may have been true one time ago, but since the creation, birth and crucifixion of Christ Jesus, the price has been paid.  “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:19. All of the things that we tend to “think” we need, we often don’t but God knows all things.
Whatsoever we focus on with a sense of love at this very moment, we have access to. God is in us, not outside of us. Therefore, we need not try to persuade Him but rather CONNECT with His presence within ourselves.
“Love the Lord, your God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy 6:5.  It is impossible to believe that He is the Lord your God and still lean on the belief in the power of evil over good. Knowing that there is “no other God but Him” will keep you in the mindset that good always triumphs over evil.

We can bring loving and powerful energy to those  areas of our lives that we see as being ‘problematic’ or think of as being our ‘punishment’ for some wrong past deed. Most of the time what we think of as ‘problems’ are just our flawed thinking that could stand to be corrected.
Organized religion oftentimes lead us to believe that God ‘condemns’ us for our misdeeds and punishes us for every mistake we have ever made but we know that God is a god of love, mercy and forgiveness. He Himself has given us all the gift of free-will and so why would He smite us for making a mistake. That is the way that humans think and behave. While it would be nice to think of all the wicked ones being struck down for their bad deeds, it doesn’t work that way. They will however punish themselves eventually. God is Supreme, Almighty and would never confuse us when it comes to His order. God is good and all things good come from God.

The real reason things commonly become troublesome, problematic or evil is when God or God-thoughts are removed from it. The moment a God-thought is brought into the picture, you walk back into alignment with Spirit and Truth. The so-called ‘problem’ then ceases to exist. This is the case with schools, nations and society at large. Many of the problems we face today simply need God brought strongly into it. The crime problem that we face here in The Bahamas (namely, New Providence) only exists because on a broad scale, the youth are uneducated and unfamiliar with God.

People who believe somehow that they are being punished, are ‘cursed’  or are hostages of some evil spirit have completely forgotten who they really are and Who GOD REALLY IS! No One but God has the power to ultimately bind ALL together in this universe; visibly and supernaturally. Since “God is good”, the only thing bad is the illusion of your own mind, perceiving problems. Nothing bad, imperfect or impure can come into contact with God.

Remember, God DOES NOT think and operate the way man does and so He cannot be a punitive or ‘punishing’ God. When we become more enlightened or ‘spirit-conscious’, we realize that the fear of God should be a healthy one. He wants only the best for us and so because of our love for Him, we act according to His Word. Punishment is created in our own minds and what follows is based on our actions moving forward.

God Is Not Punitive, But Karma’s Still a Bitch!

Lotus symbolically represents karma in many Asian traditions. A blooming lotus flower is one of the few flowers that simultaneously carries seeds inside itself while it blooms. Seed is symbolically seen as cause, the flower effect. Lotus is also considered as a reminder that one can grow, share good karma and remain unstained even in muddy circumstances.

Pretty bold title huh? Today’s topic is pretty bold already and I’m making constant strides to put an end to sugar-coating stuff as if I work for Willy Wonka.
Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म; IPA: [ˈkarmə] ( listen); Pali: kamma) means action, work or deed;[1] it also refers to the principle of causality where intent and actions of an individual influence the future of that individual.[2] Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.

For myself, like most people, karma is known as that little bitch that comes right along and bites you in the ass for your wrong doings. Don’t be a bad girl and you’ll end up swearing that karma is repaying you for every single thing that you have ever done wrong in your whole life ALL AT ONCE! Or, karma can be like a heavenly angel so-to-speak that swoops in and blesses you for all of your random acts of kindness.

This is the more religious perspective of the matter. A universal judge who’s watching down on every last one of us reigning and raining fire and fury on the supposed ‘bad guys’ while pouring manna and honey down from heaven for those who have behaved.
My question is, if Christ is to judge us all at the Great Tribulation for all of our deeds done on Earth in this life, whether good or bad, then why is it necessary to be judged by the ‘universe’ each and every day of our lives?

This leads me to two options. Either:

1. Christ’s return to rule over Earth is fictional. Which I will NEVER EVER EVER BELIEVE it to be!
OR…
2. Society has gotten the wrong idea of what karma really is.

I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and I also believe in his return as The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Therefore, I will choose option #2.

If karma was real in that sense then why do so many wicked people get ahead in life?
Organized religion (in this case, Christianity but also Buddhism & Hinduism) teaches us that Satan uses the wicked and tempts them just like he tempted Christ while on Earth. He offers them anything that their heart desires. This is exactly why so many spiritual/religious teachers as well as followers somehow feel as though being rich/wealthy is something sinful or that God is not so pleased with.

The thing is though, the evil, nasty, cruel, vile, wicked, hateful people always get what’s coming to them. Is it karma? I wonder why! Christ teaches us that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. This is one of the most basic of laws. The reason is that what goes around does come around but we bring around what we sent out.

The universe can’t or won’t judge a mentally retarded person who just killed someone by accident as a murderer or a bad guy! It can’t, because in truth, the man had/has no idea what a gun even is or how to properly use one. Heck, he isn’t even sure of what he just did at all! Just as the universe or God cannot judge a single mother of a young baby who’s unemployed for stealing formula for her starving child as a bad person. I do believe that they both WILL be judged, just not until it is time.
What most of us see as karma, good or bad, is simply CONSEQUENCES! Basically, it is the essence of the Law of Attraction or cause and effect.

If a guy (I’ll call him Timmy) is mean-spirited, abrasive, perverted, abusive, hateful, power hungry and spiteful all or most of his days, he may be able to fool others and ‘get over’ on people for a long time. He may oppress, abuse verbally, emotionally and even physically. He’s a cheap and selfish bastard nearly at the end of his rope. There will come a time when all of it comes crashing to an end. Word begins to spread of his mean ways, he hurts more people as time goes on and now even more people want to exact revenge. Those who may have helped in the past out of pity for his family or for whatever reasons may then start to pull away because of time. Time has made the children all grow up and move out. Time has also given those who suffered in silence the courage to stand up and speak out once and for all. For years the only energy that Timmy has put forth into his surroundings and the universe was negative and hateful. Now, like a just employer, the universe gives him back what he has put out. Not punishment. Not judgment. Just attraction baby!
“Like attracts like.”

The same thing goes for a middle-aged woman, whom I’ll call Gladys. Gladys is a kind soul to all she knows. She would give her last. Soft-spoken, approachable, friendly, loving and righteous. The people in her community know of her generosity and words spreads quickly if she’s ever in a state of need, which rarely happens. People know things about her that fast because she has a team of colleagues that just randomly stop by to check on her. Gladys has such a happy, upbeat spirit that people just enjoy being in her company and can tell when she’s off a notch. They want to go out of their way to help her because they know that she would do it for them in a heartbeat. This is by no means her ‘reward’ for all her good behaviour and her kind heart. It is what she has attracted into her life. The positive, loving energy that she put out into the world/universe returns the favour.

Little old, evil Timmy may not really be a ‘bad guy’. This may just be all that he knows. He’s grown up feeling hopeless, powerless and defenseless therefore, this has now become him. This is his own way of gaining and maintaining control of any power that he has. It’s now all that he knows. He’s clung desperately to this image of who he is is now can’t let go. Inevitably, Timmy will get what’s been coming to him because you can only be a bully for so long and beat up so many people before you meet your match!

Good deeds aren’t ‘rewarded’ here on Earth in the sense that many of us have been led to believe. Gladys knows that her good deeds weren’t between her and the people that she helped although it sure made both of them feel good. It was between her and God. She didn’t do good expecting to be blessed NOW. Rather, her good deeds put her soul in good standing with her Creator for her ‘new life’ that’s to come.
Good things and bad happen to everyone!

The bad are already punishing themselves if you ask me because they are removed from who they really are and who they really are meant to be. In our natural state, we are pure love. But can they change? Absolutely! What really bites is that it usually takes something major happening in their life to get them to make that dramatic shift. Sometimes they may appear happy on the surface, glossing everything over in their little devilish world until one day, they get honest with themselves and realize just how miserable they were. Sometimes I believe that people like this truly envy those who can be  happy and would try anything within their power to sabotage it because it’s too internally painful for them to watch.

Believing in karma in the old way did however make me feel good. To know that ALL the wrong that people have done to me in the past would come back at them. I never thought about what I’ve done to others and when I did, I would be stunned and assume, “that must be why I’m going through hard times!” I know better now! This doesn’t mean that we have free rights to do wrong. “For every action, there is an equal or opposite reaction.” Not judgment – A reaction. If I steal, not only do I run the risk of being caught and labeled a thief, but I also cause profit loss for the store-owner and price hikes for other consumers. The store may even be forced to closed down eventually then everyone loses! Actions & reactions my friends. You have the power to choose.

Sisterhood and Tia & Tamera Mowry's Bahamian Reunion.

I was watching an episode of ‘Tia & Tamera’ the other day and they decided to get DNA testing done to tell whether they were identical or fraternal twins.  It was very interesting to see how connected they are to each other on such a deeper level, I mean they say the exact same thing at the exact same time really often as if they are really subconsciously and spiritually in tune. I think that’s the way sisters ought to be. What makes it so great I guess, is that my two sisters and I are exactly like that whenever we are together.  It’s such a bond and close relationship that there's a hidden language that close sisters recognize and speak fluently.  Although we are  totally NOT IDENTICAL, people stop and stare us down all the time and are literally in awe at our quirky antics, inside jokes, subliminal messages and unusual approach to just about everything. It’s almost as if we are in our own world and other people just serve in making it  more fun. Even if there’s nobody around, we make our own fun and enjoy each other’s company. Because of them, I need to live on a very large property with very distant neighbours because I am LOUD! I love my sisters (Jamie and Peggy)! Now just hope they don’t kill me for posting these pictures!
my sisters P110911_09.31
It was so great when they got the test results back and they proved that they actually are identical twins! Yippee for them! (Not like anyone could tell them apart! I have to distinguish by associating Tia’s flamboyance with something fiery and Tamera with something, well…more T.A.M – tame. Whatever, you get it!) What’s funny is how I was also in tears as they read the results! (Sap!) So…yea, I watched these young ladies since they were much younger on the sitcom, “Sister, Sister”.

They’re real women who have a heart for things that matter and I like that. The episode that followed actually let me  see  just how deeply they care about those important things, like family. They were interested in finding and connecting with the other side of their family who live… guess where? Right here in The Bahamas! I was not only touched, but shocked because for all of these years I didn’t know that they had Bahamian roots and am sure that many of my peers who grew up watching the show would be as well. Lots of beauty, brains and talent come from this blessed country!

So back in July of 2012, Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley spent two days on the lovely island of Eleuthera filming that part of the show, where they reunited with their mother’s relatives, the Sweetings of South Eleuthera. The final portion of the reunion lasted a few hours and they also got to meet cousin, Devaughn Sweeting, chef and part owner of Shantzii’s Restaurant in Tarpum Bay.  The pair were spotted a few other places checking out the scenery and getting to know where their ancestors lived, worked, worshiped and schooled. What’s wonderful is the amount of effort they each put into getting to the bottom of their search. Truly inspiring and what families should be doing more of.

I had to help JJ over the mid-term break with an essay entitled, Imagine a world in which everyone loved their neighbour as they loved themselves."  I procrastinated a bit in getting started but knew that that was a topic that would take patience and the right frame of mind. Considering the bad experiences we've had in the past and in recent times, it is actually very easy to imagine that we had a world like that. These days, there are so many people too busy being selfish suckers to care about others in need.  Being in need doesn't always mean that a person is hungry or in dire straits. Sometimes a person just needs encouragement or a silent prayer. Maybe the thing that they need most will be the thing that you have enough of to give away freely.

The essay is due tomorrow and so I will post it then. I’m so excited for him and know that he will do well on this one. Some of the words that we  chose to use I decided to chop and replace with simpler ones that sound more like a 6th grader would use. What his teachers should realize by now is that my son is no average 6th grader and is advanced well beyond his years.  Many a time I think that the reason he is so negligent and careless with the simplest of things is because he is so over-analytical about things far more complex than he needs to focus on – like how much the light bill is this month or why some children who aren't mentally insane get sent to Sandiland's Rehabilitation Center! Son, reel it in!

DIY Makeup Organization

Okay ladies, if you're like me and love  beauty products and cosmetics, chances are you have a junk drawer somewhere that's filled with dozens of products (sometimes multiples of the same item) and it's easier finding a needle in a haystack than what you're looking for at that particular moment.

I've been clicking around online, trying to find some inexpensive remedies to this agonizing problem. Organization just makes life a whole lot simpler and it can be quite a kick finding stuff that you haven't seen in months!

Check out these great ideas that you can put together yourself:

Magnetic Stick-Up Board

All you need is black spray paint, magnets, hot glue, a nice sized picture frame and a slighter smaller cut of sheet metal. I just love this idea because you can just even take the lids off one at a time, dip and dab! Voila!

Desk/Counter Organizer
Instead of filling this nifty counter-top organizer with pens, pencils and Post-Its, fill with eye/lip-liners, brushes, compacts, blush and lipstick. The only down-side here is that if you're a make-up hoarder like myself, you'd only be able to keep your most-frequently used items here and all the rest in a larger storage space.

Hanging Jewelry/Makeup Organizer

Out of sight! Now this is interesting. Your favorite items have a comfy home behind your bed/bathroom door. Just ensure that it's a cool spot with plenty of natural light!

Two-Tier Stackable Platter

The only face being served up with these trays is the beautiful one you'll see in the mirror after you're done! With this DIY stack storage, all you need is two nice, lightweight metal trays and a  tin can in between. You can cover it with cute paper of your own choice.

Fine China Stakable

This is another favourite of mine. Cute and you don't even need glue!

Stackable Drawers

One drawer becoming too little space? Try purchasing these stackable drawers to devote an area all by itself to your 'collection'.

Storage Containers

According to your needs, you can choose the appropriate sized containers to keep your counter-top and drawer mess-free.

Stationary Organizers

Good for tucking into bottom drawers, at the top of your closet or under the cabinet. As long as it's a dry space, this idea saves you space and money.

Brian Williams Raps "Rapper's Delight"

Just too funny! Whoever made this sure had a whole heap of time on their hands!

Who The Hell Else Rocks This Hard?

GOTCHYA!!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Developing An Attitude of Gratitude!

In order for any relationship to become and remain successful, the parties involved must be able to relate to each other and be “in sync” with one another. They must be able to communicate harmoniously, sharing both in equal benefits .  Divine Intelligence - The formless entity, God, our Source of all things is the primary reason for the way things work. You can say it all starts with Him.
By developing an attitude of gratitude, we express how thankful we are for the ability to live and have an endless supply of the things that we need and want. This is what truly opens up the door to becoming connected to Source or to ‘the Mind of God’. God loves a humble, thankful heart. If we are closer to the source of all things good – closer to abundance, to joy, prosperity, wisdom, truth, strength, happiness, love, etc., then quite naturally we will begin to receive more of  all of these things. Gratitude is the key to becoming closer in connection with our Source.
A few months ago, I read, “The Science of Getting Rich”, by Wallace D. Wattles. Although the book was written in 1910, making it more than 100 yrs. old, it holds many truths that still apply today because one thing is certain: Divine Intelligence/God/ Source/ Infinite Intelligence NEVER changes.  In the book, Wattles talks about how a man can never really reach and remain a success if he is striving to get ahead on a competitive plane. This life is not a competition, it is Creation at its best! Many say that Creation is complete but others, like myself, believe that creation occurs each and every day. God has made us in His own likeness. God is the Ultimate Creator and so for this reason, we too must be creators as well. There is no need really to compete for what we want because believe it or not, there is more than enough to go around. The world has endless abundance for all who inhabit it. When we remain grateful for this, thanking Him for His endless supply, we remind ourselves subconsciously that there is no need to compete! This is what keeps us on a ‘creative plane’. We can then relax, move with a creative ‘edge’ and with confidence knowing that what we want is practically already there. Faith is what follows. Faith follows gratitude.

A big part of the Law of Attraction is the timeless Law of Gratitude. Newton’s Law, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite re-action.” The book goes on to say, “ The grateful outreaching of your mind in thankful praise to The Supreme is a liberation or expenditure of force. It cannot fail to reach that to which it is addressed and the reaction is an instantaneous movement towards you. Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you.” You will always be in good standing if you adopt an attitude of gratitude.

Christ never ceased to thank his Father while on Earth. Even he knew that by doing this, he remained connected to the power of the Almighty. Gratitude reminds us that we don’t have to fight. Infinite Source has made all things for us and wants us to have and enjoy them. Failure to exercise gratitude results in misery, discouragement and dis-satisfaction. It becomes overwhelming when we feel as though there is not enough. Once our human minds go to that bad place, we automatically begin to subliminally attract more of exactly what we DON’T WANT! We are thinking substance and thinking substance always takes the form of what it thinks about.

Be grateful now! Be thankful right now no matter where you are or what you have. Think about the best that God has offered us and do thank Him for it. Thank Him for the wisdom and knowledge that we share, for the love and connection to each thing. Thank Him for our creative abilities and advancement each new day. Mostly, thank Him for His abundance of love, mercy, bountiful blessings and a second chance at life!

What am I thankful for today?
  • For life, love, health and  my family and loved ones health.
  • For leading me to great teachings from those here today as well as those before me and to come.
  • For you reading this post or watching the video.
  • For everything else; the good and what I perceived as bad because it’s all part of His infinite plan which is why I am here today.
  • For the curiosity and discovery of who I am, although I know it is just the beginning.
  • For giving me the passion, courage and determination to find what I love and am good at and to just DO IT!
  • For the ability and opportunities to do what I love freely in this age of technological advancement, international relations and awakening spiritual consciousness.

It would be wonderful to know what you are thankful for today. Please share what you have to be grateful for below. You never know how you could be changing a life for the better!B

Things New Runners Soon Discover

It’s Monday and I didn’t go running over the weekend because hubby had work to do so I had to stay home with the kids. I am determined to go this evening though.

Trouble is, I’m falling victim to the ‘Lady in Red’s’ spell and feel physically out of sorts. I’ve had a constant headache since Saturday, have TERRIBLE mood swings and am cramping like nobody’s business! I sense this won’t feel as awesome as the last time but I will just have to take the necessary precautions. There’s a first time for everything!

I was checking out another blog: http://www.shutupandrun.net/ and reading some awesome posts. It made me think that since I’ve only been doing this for a little over a month what other things I will run into along the way. Here are just a few of the things I’ve discovered so far:

1. Other people (especially non-runners) DO NOT CARE about your running!

2. Not every fellow exerciser greets you mid-huff. Neither do I occasionally when it’s just too damned hard!

3. Your feet will take a beating! My freshly ‘peddied’ feet and toes already look like crap!

4. Not everyone takes you serious in the beginning. That’s fine because I may have been just as skeptical had it been you. Please just hold me back if they dare to say I’ve gone “walking”!

5. Your kids think you’re using your “running” to get away from them. They’re like Mommy? Running? This has GOT TO BE an excuse not to cook tonight!

6. Your period WILL come on at its regularly scheduled time and you WILL have to deal with it, PMS, cramps, bloating, migraines and all! The good thing is that exercise helps with many of the typical symptoms.

7. Running is NOT CHEAP! Depending on how far you wish to take it, there’s running shoes/gear that is somewhat pricey and must be replaced often and then things like race entry fees, etc.

8. Not everyday feels the same mentally. One day you feel like Rocky Balboa then the next, like a slug on a dry day. Your mental attitude goes a far way in coaxing you physically but some days both seem off.

9. Passersby DO see you! Just by taking pictures of myself after a good run/walk session, I can see just how much of a drill-sergeant I look like and no matter how hard I try to fake a smile, the grimace of exhaustion won’t go away. That’s the glory of a good workout!

10. That progress doesn’t appear to be happening each day but IT IS! It’s important to keep track by using a journal or app to see just how you’ve improved.

11. Switch up routes to avoid boredom and to challenge yourself in other ways.

12. Running alone will not get you 100% in shape. You will suffer many injuries if you only rely on running alone for fitness. Incorporating other forms of exercise like resistance and flexibility training will make you fitter all around.

13. Your biggest enemy is your mind. Believe and you will achieve! Never make the mistake of comparing yourself to other runners. It’s good to seek helpful information but avoid trying to be like the next guy. We all learn, evolve at our own pace.

14. Never force yourself while in pain. Some pains are good and others are frightening. When your body is yelling for you to stop, STOP! If not, you will regret it later.

15. Never hold your head high when running on unleveled ground. Thank God it was dusk so I had about 10% daylight left to get my bearings before breaking my bloody ankle!

16. Always wear dark coloured bottoms! You may be surprised if you don’t!

17. An hour goes by pretty quickly when you’re preoccupied!

18. The right gear is UBER IMPORTANT! You can’t run the way you should be running if your shoes are too tight, clothes too thick or ear buds don’t fit and you have to keep adjusting.

19. WATER is your best friend. Just be careful to take small sips along the way instead of chugging it and running like a water balloon.

20. Don’t be afraid of carbs as these are your biggest source of fuel. Be sure to get adequate fat, carbs and protein to aid in proper recovery and minimize sore muscles.

21. Ease into good form. The first few minutes or so of warming up should feel a tad awkward but as you continue, you’ll ease into a good rhythm.
